For over 150 years, the Bureau of Engraving & Printing has sold collector products in the form of intaglio portrait and vignette prints. In the modern era, BEP has also marketed currency itself, such as uncut sheets, star notes, and fancy serial numbers. Most recently the Bureau has collaborated with the U.S. Mint, supplying engravings to accompany commemorative coins. Portrait-Vignette (PV) cards received SCCS catalog numbers beginning in 1989; coin and currency sets (BC) were cataloged in 2023.
